NINGBO GARBO PRECISION CO.,LTD
Ordering custom fasteners or stamped metal parts starts with a clear specification. When a manufacturer understands your drawing, application and purchasing requirements, it is easier to review production options and prepare a suitable quotation.
Whether you need a special screw, a threaded component or a stamped bracket, the following checklist can help you prepare your request.
A drawing helps the manufacturer understand the part’s shape, dimensions and assembly requirements. Include the drawing revision, units, material and any specified tolerances.
For custom fasteners, clearly identify the thread specification, head shape, overall length and other features that affect assembly.
For stamped parts, specify the material thickness, hole positions, bends and edge requirements.
If you do not have a complete drawing, provide a sample or clear photographs with the available dimensions. Ask the manufacturer what additional information is needed before production.
The application provides useful context for reviewing your requirements.
For example, a furniture bracket may need a clean appearance and accurate mounting holes. A threaded component for machinery may have specific requirements for fit, surface condition or repeated assembly.
Tell the supplier which features are critical to the part’s function. This helps focus the discussion on the dimensions and characteristics that matter most.

Custom Fastener and Stamped Bracket Samples
State the required material grade whenever it is available. Descriptions such as “steel” or “stainless steel” alone may leave important details unresolved.
Also specify the surface finish, such as zinc plating, black oxide or polishing, where applicable.
If you are unsure which option to choose, describe the operating environment and appearance requirements. Request a proposed option for review, and confirm the final specification before production.
Include both your initial order quantity and your expected repeat demand.
A useful enquiry might state:
These figures are examples. Use quantities that reflect your actual project.
For custom stamped parts, ask whether dedicated tooling is required and whether tooling charges are quoted separately. Confirm the estimated production lead time and shipping arrangements as well.
Before placing a production order, confirm how the parts will be checked.
Identify any dimensions that need particular attention and discuss sample approval, visual requirements and inspection documentation.
For a new part, an approved sample can provide a shared reference for subsequent production. Keep the approved drawing and sample requirements consistent.
